Hi Ina,

I'm not sure how long the Mac health science application took me.... probably a few days. I think the most important thing is being concise and clear. My average was around a 96 I think when I applied. In terms of what I mentioned on my application, anything from leadership experiences to school clubs when it was relevant.

Good luck!

Hey
I really enjoy your blog.
But I was just wondering how you wrote your supp application for health science at MAC (the kind of tone you used, how long it took you to write it, etc.) and what your average and EC's were.
Thanks

I stumbled upon this article of yours, and I really like your attitude toward journalism.
I also strongly believe that only the whole truth should be presented to the community and twisting and bending facts to create an article with just enough spice to make the cut-off for publishing is degrading.
Thank you for this useful post.

Hey John,

I've honestly only heard good things about McMaster Health Sciences for the most part, and I have a lot of friends who go there and are happy there.

I chose to go to York because I had a good research opportunity, and staying in Toronto allowed me to remain involved in some things that were important to me.

Hey, I was just wondering why you chose not to go into McMaster Health Sciences even though you got accepted. Is there anything about the program you didn't like? I heard a few rumours about bad parts of the program but I'm not sure if they're true.

Hey Bill,

Nope, most medical schools don't care what undergraduate program you attend. In terms of your university studies, the important things are to make sure you complete any medical school prerequisites and that you work hard to obtain a competitive GPA.

And yah, that would be an example of undergraduate studies.

Good luck!

Hey Joshua, I have recently become a frequent visitor to your online blog and it seems to me that you have some very interesting things to talk about. Also, you have provided me with some valuable information, so I thank you for that. I am currently a high school student thinking about pursuing a career in medicine, but I'm a little confused about the whole process of becoming a doctor. After high school, is there a specific program you have to go into to become a doctor...say Life Sciences? For example, I know you went to York University, but what program, and does it really matter what program you go into? Lastly, is Undergrad studies the same as pursing a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences at U of t for example?
