Do they have a meeting on the 2nd? I have no idea, but if that’s true, that’s some good news. It would be nice if they tried to meet during the break, but I would imagine most people would want to spend the break on non-work related things – then again, this is a really important issue that can’t be put off…

Actually, I will probably have more than a week left, depending on when the strike at York University ends (if it all) =P

Medical school interview invites will probably start being sent out in January/February, interviews usually take place February/March/Early-April, and you find out about first-round acceptances in mid-May.

Right now, the only thing I am nervous about is whether or not I will lose the entire school year! I am trying to be optimistic that this will not happen, but on the off chance that the entire school year is lost, it could negatively affect the medical school admissions process for me :S

Wow, that makes me glad I went to self-directed learning high school… didn’t have to do any tests/work before the winter break if you didn’t want to!

I’m learning guitar on my own. My dad players a bit, so he can help me with a few things, but I’m just mainly learning chords right now and practicing chord progression for different songs.

I would probably be better of taking lessons if I wanted to learn and improve faster, but I took piano lessons for I think 7 years or so when I was younger, and I didn’t really like having to be evaluated once a week… =)

I’ve been keeping up with your posts, but haven’t had the chance to comment on them lately! Every year, all the teachers cram tests & projects into the week before the holidays (plus an early math exam this year too!), so we’ve come to call that week the Christmas Crunch. And then there’s lots to be done during the break too…seriously. But hey, that’s school for you!

Hey, guitars are cool. =) Not sure if you’ve mentioned it already, but do you take lessons or is it self-taught? And by the way, if the girl of your dreams likes shopping that much more than you do, she’ll probably just drag you along. =P
