Joe: Haha, me too actually :) I hope people like the change.

Lurker: Small world isn't it? Though I'm not surprised that Alex has met a lot of people. He always seems to be on the move and meeting a lot of cool young people.

omg thank you soo much for posting this joshua! this is thus far the most important advice i need right now (i mean everything else is helpful too with academic, scholarship and stuff), without turning my laziness and procrastination around i'll burn out soon and not having enough motivation to get me through university.
btw, i've also met alex before!
i especially agree with this quote, which pretty much sums up how i feel right now. And i'm slowly working at accepting that not everything brings instant satisfaction, which is actually a phenomenon among teenagers that developed since the use of facebook.
"I was very busy in high school and kept myself occupied with many cool things, but since undergrad, I have gotten very lazy. I think it’s partially due to my interests changing (and not finding things that really stimulate me) and partially due to my being way to lazy/burned out to take initiative. I also think it’s because I like instant satisfaction, and in the real world, you really got to put in the work and effort before you reap the rewards, and I struggle with that."
