Hi Brian,

My inspiration for SMARTS was mainly having been fortunate to learn about many different science and technology programs, and then finding out that many schools lacked access to that knowledge and other resources.

It started out as a small independent website that I ran, and then I got in touch with Youth Science Canada, who liked what i was doing, and asked me to begin working with them - and being a part of their charity is one of the major reasons why SMARTS has stretched as far as it has.

Hey Joshua,
I've got a random question. How did you and what exactly inspired you to start SMARTS? I've checked out the website and it seems like such a big organization. How did you get it to be so big? I mean, where did you start? It just seems so amazing how you could've done something like that. How long did it take before it was well known across Canada?

Wow respect! My school is actually trying to parter with SMARTS in order to help us do some new projects for our Science Club. I'm talking about Newtonbrook Secondary School from Toronto. If you heard of us, please let me know.
